 ion of the New Urban Agenda.🎯 Description: Local and regional governmen
 ts are vital actors in ensuring that the New Urban Agenda is not only achi
 eved but that it also acts as an accelerator of other global development a
 gendas such as the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. In light of the High-Level Me
 eting of the UN General Assembly convened by the UNPGA on the Implementati
 on of the New Urban Agenda that took place in April 2022 in New York\, it 
 is clear that more needs to be done to ensure the New Urban Agenda is real
 ized and that a clear link is established between it and other global poli
 cy-making processes. This session will go into depth on the follow up to t
 he High-Level Meeting in New York and next steps for the local and regiona
 l government consituency in ensuring the New Urban Agenda and its official
  review and follow up mechanism\, the World Assembly of Local and Regional
  Governments\, are front and center in the road towards leaving no one and
  no place behind.This session of the Talks will also incorporate peacebuil
 ding organizations and will lead to concrete action within the UCLG work p
 rogram\, in the framework of the broader Peace Agenda. Connection link
