 in The Hague and aims to explore how local governments can address urban v
 iolence while promoting peace and city to city diplomacy through innovativ
 e strategies. This learning is connecting to the overall UCLG agenda on pe
 ace\, and looks towards the practical pathways towards safe\, peaceful\, a
 nd inclusive cities where residents feel secure and supported\, fostering 
 an overall culture of non-violence. Our focus will be on the 2022 UCLG Pea
 ce Prize-winning case from Recife\, Brazil\, where community centers have 
 been successfully employed as a strategy to prevent urban violence by fost
 ering social inclusion\, resilience\, and community-led peacebuilding.
